Location

Open the boot and look at the right-hand side trim panel. Turn or pull the two quick-release fasteners, fold the trim panel down, and the fuse carrier with its maxi and mini fuses is behind it next to the rear power distribution module; a sheet with the fuse assignments is tucked into a pocket on the trim.

The rear power distribution box on the F30 feeds the rear electronics, both seat and seat-heating circuits, the amplifier and the electric parking brake, and also carries high-current maxi fuses for the steering and ABS supply. The battery is in the boot on the right, so disconnect the negative terminal before touching the maxi fuses. Numbering on the printed card differs between model years. Fuse assignment varies by equipment level and production year. Always confirm with the label on the fuse box cover or the owner's manual.
