Location

Open the front passenger door and remove the small plastic kick panel low on the side of the dashboard, near the door hinge. The fuse box sits behind it with the layout diagram printed on the inside of its own cover flap.

This box carries most body and comfort fuses for the W211; the engine-bay fuse/relay box next to the battery holds the maxi fuses for the engine and drivetrain. Air suspension (Airmatic) and distronic-equipped cars have a few extra fuses in the lower rows, so check the cover diagram for the exact trim. Fuse assignment varies by equipment level and production year. Always confirm with the label on the fuse box cover or the owner's manual.
