Location

Open the driver's door and look at the left end face of the dashboard, behind a plastic cover. Pull the cover off by hand at the recess at its edge; the fuses sit in a vertical panel.

Fuses in this panel are referred to as SC1-SC49 in VW documentation. Exact assignments vary by equipment level and build date; a second fuse holder is in the engine compartment on the battery. Fuse assignment varies by equipment level and production year. Always confirm with the label on the fuse box cover or the owner's manual.
