Location

Open the bonnet and look at the rear left corner of the engine bay, next to the battery. Release the clips on the plastic cover and lift it off to reach the fuses and relays underneath.

The maxi fuses here protect high-current systems such as the cooling fan, ABS/ESC pump, alternator and (on diesel engines) the glow plug supply. Several relays are shared between petrol and diesel variants but sit in different slots, so always check the printed diagram on the lid. Disconnect the battery ground before working near this box. Fuse assignment varies by equipment level and production year. Always confirm with the label on the fuse box cover or the owner's manual.
