Known weak points
- DPF system with Eolys additive: empty additive tank or a filter that never completes regeneration gives repeated engine-light and limp-mode episodes
- Siemens piezo injector failures and leaking injector seals, with rough idle, chuffing and black carbon around the injector bodies
- Turbocharger failure from carbon-blocked oil feed pipes; always replace the feed pipe and clean the sump strainer with the turbo
- Dual-mass flywheel rattle at idle and clutch judder on manual cars from around 150,000 km
- Intake swirl flaps and EGR valve sticking, giving hesitation and boost deviation codes
- Powershift automatic gearbox (6DCT450) mechatronic and clutch wear, shown as shunting at low speed and transmission warnings
