Location

Open the bonnet and look at the rear of the engine bay, on the left near the bulkhead (saloon and estate have the battery in the boot, but the power distribution box with the main fuses is still in the engine bay). Unclip the plastic cover; the fuse and relay layout is printed on its underside.

This box carries the main maxi fuses protecting the engine and body control modules, plus the key supply relays. The separate footwell fuse carrier (behind a cover near the driver's left knee) handles most interior circuits. Diesel and petrol models share the same basic layout with some rating differences. Fuse assignment varies by equipment level and production year. Always confirm with the label on the fuse box cover or the owner's manual.
