Location

The engine-bay fuse and relay box is on the driver's side of the engine compartment, next to the battery. Press the side tabs on the black lid and lift it off; the layout diagram is moulded into the underside of the lid.

Petrol (1.33/1.4/1.6/1.8) and diesel (1.4/2.0 D-4D) versions differ: diesels have a glow plug relay feed and no separate EFI heater fuse. The ALT fusible link is bolted, not plugged, and needs a 10 mm socket. Never replace a fusible link with one of a higher rating. Fuse assignment varies by equipment level and production year. Always confirm with the label on the fuse box cover or the owner's manual.
